Formulation Team Leaders
Dr. Martin Milner, N.D. - Medical Director
 Dr. Milner is a Board Certified Naturopathic Physician
and Professor of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Medicine. Dr. Milner has
treated over 20,000 patients with heart disease over the course of his
23 years of practice as a Board Certified Naturopathic Physician.
He is world renown for his natural treatment protocols for heart
disease, and has applied his clinical experience with natural remedies
to help formulate products for several nutritional supplement
companies. About 30% of Dr. Milner patients come from outside of
Oregon to seek his expertise, coming for treatment from as far away as
Germany, England, Japan, India, Africa, Australia and South
America. Dr. Milner is well published with texts, medical journal
articles and studies in endocrinology, cardiology, pulmonology,
oncology, and environmental medicine. He has had many articles
published in scientific journals such as Alternative and Complementary Therapies.
Since 1991 Dr. Milner has been the CEO and Medical Director of the
Center for Natural Medicine Inc., one of the largest and oldest
integrated medical clinics in the Pacific Northwest. Since 1996
he has also been a Medical Advisor for Agora Publication's Health
Sciences Institute. HSI's monthly newsletter circulates to
approximately 100,000 subscribers around the world. Dr. Milner
received his N.D. in 1983 from National College of Natural Medicine
(NCNM) Portland Oregon, where he has continued for the past 20 years as
Professor of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Medicine.
Zheng-Xian Liu, PhD - VP of Research and
Development
 Dr. Liu is a leading nutraceutical formulator. From
1998 to mid-2001, Dr. Liu was Director, Research & Development in
charge of developing nutraceutical products for HVL, Incorporated,
which had over $80 million of sales under the Douglas Laboratories and
Advanced Medical Nutrition (AMNI) labels. From 1995 to 1997 he
was Vice President and Chief Biochemist at Biotechnology Research
Laboratory, Inc. where he researched anti-aging strategies and
products, and hormone replacement therapy, including human growth
hormone and HGH releasing factors. In 1995 he was a NIH
Postdoctoral Fellow at the Duke University Medical Center Department of
Biochemistry under Dr. I. Fridovich who discovered SOD and developed
the oxidative free radical theory of aging. Prior to Duke he was
a laboratory director and research scientist at OmegaTech, Inc. and
AMNI Lab Services. He was also a member of the editorial board of
the groundbreaking peer reviewed Journal of Advancement in
Medicine. Dr. Liu received his B.S. in Organic Chemistry from
East China University of Science and Technology, his M.S. in Quantum
Computational Chemistry from the National Academy of Sciences of China,
and his Ph.D. in Gerontology, Biochemistry and Nutrition from Virginia
Polytechnic Institute, where he was John Lee Pratt Fellow in
Nutrition. He has also authored or co-authored six books and
twenty-five technical papers.
